It's going to be a good year for making grape jam!
Syd Erickson always told me to wait til after the first frost to pick the grapes because they'd be juicier and sweeter, then!

Everyone loves Indian Corn!

But where do these colors come from? You can find a fairly detailed answer HERE!

Chinese Lanterns, another Autumn favorite, grow in a wild jumble in front of an old house on Alabam Road.

It's Teatime, again!

Kelly Falk wrote to tell me that, "At the Historical Society's Harvest Dinner, the date of the Victorian Tea was announced. It will be held on Dec.1. Normally ( is there such a thing?) this info is given at the Oct. meeting but since the dinner replaced that meeting, the proclamation was made then. "

Within minutes, Joe had sold 39 tickets!!!!!

(Remember what happened last year? Phone the Falks at 841-4018 or catch Joe at the Historical Society on Wednesday between 1:00 and 4:00. I don't even know what the theme of the tea will be, this year, but I don't care - I know that it will be wonderful!)

Around town .....

at the corner of Barton and Putnam,

and on Sanger Avenue.

On Route 315, near "Dicksville," Edie Eastman and friends were intent on watching ..........

......... as a huge crane lifted trusses to the roof of the new barn at the Gallagher Farm.

***************

It's yard clean-up and bulb-planting time, and - judging from the number of chickadees that seem to follow me around the yard - filling feeders with birdseed is on the day's schedule, too!

Whatever YOU do, have a great day!!!
