Soon!

***************

It's Garbage Day!

36.3 degrees down here in Whiskey Hollow!

  • Today: Despite the chilly start, sunny and mild by the afternoon. High: 70
  • Tonight: Clear and cool. Low: 41
  • Tuesday: Mostly sunny and mild. High: 73, Low: 47

In the left-hand column of the front page of the NEWS section of today's O-D there's a link to a video of those four sets of twins who are just starting school in Brookfield!
The Golfing World's Eyes are on Atunyote.

It was another day of being glued to the computer, yesterday, but when I did take an afternoon break - boy! was I lucky! I pulled over on Main Street to take a picture of the "character" outside the new "Subway," and got a bonus of two "characters," instead of one!

It's going to be a busy week!

I seems as if EVERYONE is involved in next Saturday's
"Cruis'in!

Out in the countryside, some of the goldenrod has passed its prime, but the purple asters are at their peak.

Fields of Soybeans are turning gold.

I just clicked - at random - on one of the thousands of www. links for information on "soybeans." If one were to believe this article from "The World's Healthiest Foods," we should probably all be out in the fields harvesting nuts to gnosh on!

It had been "a few" years since I'd taken time to go for a walk between the rows of really tall corn: it's scratchy and noisy, but good childish fun!

Out on Sanger Hill Road.

Nearly across the street, in St. Bernard's Cemetery, these hydrangeas - planted years and years ago - have that lovely pale tint of Autumn rose........

and bunches of sedum are larger than the gravestones that they decorate.

In Boston, the Sox won no roses:
they let the Yankees take two of the three games!

Cheers to New York!
