Sunday Morning

It's 59 degrees and cloudy.

It rained! It REALLY rained!

And it thundered .... alot .... and it rained some more.

"Cloudbursts" or "Gully-washers," for sure.

*******

Whether we need it or not,
it will rain again according to WKTV.

  • Sunday: Increasing clouds with rain and thunderstorms developing from south to north. Very humid. High 82
  • Sunday night: Thunderstorms with heavy rain possible. Low 63
  • Monday: Cloudy with rain and thunderstorms. Rain may be heavy at times. High 72 Low 60
  • Tuesday: Mostly cloudy with a chance for rain and thunderstorms. High 68 Low 54

It did NOT rain on the Parade at the Sherburne Pageant of Bands at a critical time and, although the WCS Marching Band did not come in 1st in any division, they placed very well. Brenda Alberding took some wonderful photographs, and the Band looked just grand! I think she'll share some of the pictures with the blog!

A note of no importance but of interest to some: the 90' Norway Spruce that was removed from the Meszler property, day-before-yesterday, was - according to a ring count - 151 years old. (If only it could have talked, what stories it would have told!)

Tonight's game starts at 8:05.

I'm going to make use of the newly-watered, less rock-hard condition of my flowerbeds and spend some time pulling weeds; replant a couple of window boxes that got washed out, and then take a "Ride in the Country."

Check back later for an "add-on."
